Woods Humane Society seeks entries for 2027 pet calendar

– Woods Humane Society has opened its fourth annual Pets of the Year Calendar Contest, allowing local dog and cat owners to enter their pets for free from Sept. 1 through midnight on Sept. 20.
Participants can nominate their pets by creating a contest page, uploading a pet photo, and asking friends and family to vote by donating to their contest page.
The 10 top fundraisers will be featured in the 2027 print calendar. Winners will also receive four printed calendars and will be featured in a 2027 social media post, email, and website post.
All contestants who raise at least $25 will receive a calendar, and their pet photo will appear on the calendar’s collage page.
Calendar contestants earn votes through donations made to their contest pages. The 10 top fundraisers will receive a featured spread in the calendar.
“The Pets of the Year calendar contest highlights our community’s enthusiasm and adoration for its furry family members, and we can’t wait to see this year’s nominations,” says Woods CEO Emily L’Heureux. “This fun, community contest is also a unique way to help homeless pets at Woods. By donating to vote on contestants’ pages, supporters can make a real difference for dogs and cats in need. Every dollar donated goes toward helping homeless pets find food, shelter, medical care, and loving families.”
Woods Humane Society will unveil the 2027 calendar and winners at the Woods Humane Society Wiggle Waggle Fall Festival on Oct. 24. The calendars will be available for sale at the festival.
There is no registration fee to participate in the contest.
