Warm stretch expected to give way to cooldown, chance of rain next week 

Chance of rain in the forecast Tuesday next week

– A cooldown is on the way for Atascadero after several days of warm spring weather, along with a slight chance of rain.

Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-70s through Friday, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will peak near the upper 70s on Saturday before dipping slightly into the low 70s on Sunday.

A more noticeable cooling trend begins Monday, when highs fall to the mid-60s under mostly sunny skies. Cooler conditions continue into Tuesday, with highs in the low 60s and showers expected.

By Wednesday, temperatures tick up slightly into the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies.

Overnight lows throughout the period will range from the upper 30s to the upper 40s.
