–A woman was rescued by the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services Monday afternoon in the Salinas River.

The unidentified woman was found approximately 50 yards from the water’s edge in the 1500 block of North River Road. She was heard by local contractors crying for help and was spotted with water and debris up to her neck.

She was rescued by Paso Robles Emergency Personnel and transported by San Luis Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. CHP Air Operations Division was requested and assisted with reconnaissance of the area for any additional potential victims.

The Salinas Riverbed is extremely hazardous during these rain events, the city reminds all to not enter the river bed.
