Three volunteers join Sheriff’s Office patrol program
Volunteers completed training in traffic control, first aid, and crime prevention
– Three new members have joined the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Volunteer Patrol after completing several weeks of training, according to a recent Facebook post from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
The volunteers completed their final class before graduating from the program and beginning their service in San Luis Obispo County.
Training included traffic control, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid, automated external defibrillator use, defensive driving, radio communications, and crime prevention. The volunteers also learned about the Sheriff’s Office during the training.
As members of the volunteer patrol, they will serve as additional eyes and ears throughout the county, assist at community events, support Sheriff’s Office operations, and help keep residents informed.
