Templeton Historical Museum fundraiser features ranch branding, chili competition
‘Some Like it Hot’ returns March 14
– The Templeton Historical Museum Society will host its annual fundraising event, “Some Like it Hot,” on March 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will include ranch branding honoring local cattle ranchers, a chili competition featuring local home cooks, and a vintage silent auction. Food and beverages will be provided by the Templeton Mercantile Club Car Bar.
During the event, organizers will light a forge to create a wall-mounted display featuring local ranch brands. Participants who have a ranch brand may bring it to burn their mark into the display. Attendees without a brand may create and burn their own brand for $25 per character.
The chili competition will feature entries from Templeton home cooks. Chili tastings will be available for $1 per taste.
