Satellite voting site opens in Atascadero for June 2 election

Location in Atascadero opens May 4 with weekday hours before June 2 election
– A satellite voting location will open in North County ahead of the June 2 statewide direct primary election, offering voter services in Atascadero.
The site will operate at 6565 Capistrano Avenue and is run by the San Luis Obispo County Elections Office.
The satellite location will be open from May 4 through June 1, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. On election day, June 2, the location will operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters who visit the site can request reissued ballots if their original ballot is lost, damaged, or contains an error. The location will also provide voter registration services, including registration and updates on election day.
Residents may drop off completed vote-by-mail ballots at a secure drop box at the site. Election staff will be available to answer questions and assist voters with the voting process, including accessible voting options. Bilingual assistance will also be available.
The satellite location is intended to provide access to election services for voters who cannot visit the main elections office. It will serve residents in northern San Luis Obispo County and offer assistance with replacing ballots, registering to vote, and answering questions about the election process.
Early voting will begin May 4 at the satellite location.
