Santa Rita Road repairs will cause traffic delays in Templeton

Weekday construction will run from Aug. 24 through Sept. 26
– Road repairs will cause traffic delays of up to 30 minutes on a portion of Santa Rita Road approximately 3.5 miles west of Vineyard Road, according to the County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works.
Crews will conduct construction activities from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays from Aug. 24 through Sept. 26. The delays will allow large equipment and heavy trucks to haul materials along the route.

The work forms part of the county’s ongoing storm recovery program. Severe storms in early 2023 and 2024 damaged the road and caused the partial loss of a lane.
Officials advised motorists to adjust their travel plans and allow additional time for delays.
