Rubber duck race returns to Morro Bay
Event raises funds for scholarships and community projects
– The 5th Annual Rubber Ducky Derby, hosted by Morro Bay Rotary, will take place Oct. 4 at 7:30 a.m. in Morro Bay.
The event raises funds for Morro Bay High School and trade school scholarships as well as community projects.
Participants can enter the derby by purchasing rubber ducks for $10 each. Multiple entries are allowed.
Cash prizes will be awarded, with first place receiving $1,000, second place $750 and third place $500. Winners do not need to be present to claim prizes.

The derby has become a yearly event for residents and visitors in Morro Bay.
