Robert ‘Bob’ John Bagby dies at 83
Service will be held Aug. 20 in Atascadero
–Robert “Bob” John Bagby passed away August 11, 2016. He was born in 1933 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to pioneer parents William C. and Hope Stewart Bagby. Bob followed his father’s lead of honesty, integrity and being a true friend. Memorial services will be held at Atascadero Bible Church, 6225 W Mall, in Atascadero, on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 10 a.m.
Bob attended Allen Military Academy, San Luis Obispo High School – class of ’51, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo majoring in Animal Husbandry. He was a cattle rancher, fencing contractor and legendary water witcher. He loved fishing with his sons and friends. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia “Pat.” Bob passed on the meaning of honesty, integrity and friendship to his children: Karen, Cindy (spouse Craig), Mark (spouse Randy), and Robby(spouse Lori). Grandchildren: Elise, Emily, Hannah and William Peltzer, Bayley Bagby, Tracy Titus (spouse Zach), and Max Bagby. Great-grandchildren: Rian, Leah, Quint Titus, and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Stewart, Dick and Alan (Chappy) Bagby, and grandson Jake Gearhart.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Camp del Corazon (campdelcorazon.org) or your favorite charity.
