Robbery reported at Atascadero Tastee-Freez 


–The Tastee-Freez restaurant on Montecito Ave. was robbed Thursday around 9 a.m., according to reports.

The restaurant employee reported being sprayed in the face with an unknown chemical. Reports say the robber then ran out of the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Atascadero police, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies, and a California Highway Patrol helicopter searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. The employee was reportedly taken to the hospital for medical care.
