Planet Fitness opens new location in Atascadero
Grand opening celebration to be held in February
– Planet Fitness recently announced the grand opening of a new location in Atascadero.
The new location features cardio machines and strength equipment, a 30-Minute Express Circuit, rowing machines, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, plus HydroMassage loungers, massage chairs, tanning booths, “Total Body Enhancement” booths, and more.
The new Planet Fitness Atascadero is next to retailer Smart & Final Extra, located at 8200 El Camino Real and occupies 18,700 sq ft. of space.
An additional new location has opened in San Luis Obispo at 3880 Broad St, in Marigold Center near Vons.
As an introductory special, members can join in-club or online for $1 enrollment on the Classic membership ($10 a month), or $0 enrollment on the PF Black Card now through Thursday. The PF Black Card membership, which is $24.99 a month, includes additional amenities such as the ability to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all 2,300+ Planet Fitness locations, as well as access to HydroMassage beds, chairs, and tanning, among other benefits such as the brand-new Black Card amenity, the Wellness Pod. The amenity is engineered to “capitalize on the significant growth in the wellness, meditation, and mindfulness space, providing members with an opportunity to disconnect and recharge for 15 minutes with a unique, multisensory experience.”
Both locations will be holding grand opening celebrations featuring a ribbon cutting, chances to win prizes like a free one-year Black Card membership, 20 percent off all merchandise, entertainment, contests, vendors, and more. Planet Fitness San Luis Obispo’s event will be held on Feb. 1 and Planet Fitness Atascadero’s event on Feb. 16. Both celebrations will take place from 4 to 6 p.m.
