North County teen arrested for vandalism, burglary 

Teen allegedly used large rocks to smash windows of two liquor storespolice

–On July 18, approximately 11:50 p.m., a 14-year-old male, Paso Robles resident, was arrested on charges related to two commercial store burglaries. The juvenile, who’s name cannot be released due to his age, was booked into SLO County Probation on burglary and vandalism charges, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.

The juvenile suspect is believed to have used large rocks to smash the windows to two liquor stores along Spring Street in Paso Robles. The first crime occurred along the 2800 block of Spring Street, at approximately 10:20 p.m. The suspect did not make entry into this business, but broke the first pane of a dual paned window in his attempt to enter the store.

The second crime was reported to the PRPD at approximately 10:25 p.m. The business owner of a liquor store along the 2000 block reported a rock had been used to smash the front door to the business. The business owner believed cigarettes were stolen from the business
Officers were able to obtain video surveillance of the crimes from both businesses.

Officers worked with business owners to gather a clothing and physical description of the suspect. The suspect was eventually located at nearby Pioneer Park, where he was arrested.
