New ice cream shop opens in Atascadero
Nana’s Ice Cream officially celebrates grand opening May 25
– A new ice cream shop in downtown Atascadero will hold its grand opening May 25 after opening earlier this month. Nana’s Ice Cream, owned by 24-year-old entrepreneur Adeline Carley, first opened May 6 and has served customers during a soft opening period ahead of the official grand opening celebration.
Located at 5990 Entrada Ave., the business serves ice cream, coffee drinks, and baked goods.
“The people of Atascadero have been unbelievable,” Carley said. “The support these last two weeks has meant everything to me. My dream is to create a place where families and friends can come together, smile, laugh, and enjoy amazing ice cream.”
The shop serves ice cream from Marianne’s Ice Cream, including flavors such as Heaven, 1020, Old Tyme Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Burgundy Cherry.
According to the business, Heaven features vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge swirls, peanut butter swirls, and brownie pieces, while 1020 includes caramel ice cream with chocolate fudge swirls and crushed Oreos.
Nana’s Ice Cream also serves coffee drinks made with Trece Hermanos Coffee products and baked goods from Just Baked in Paso Robles.
Carley said she hopes to expand Nana’s Ice Cream into additional locations along California’s Central Coast.
“I love seeing people take that first bite and instantly smile,” Carley said. “That feeling never gets old.”
The shop is open daily from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
