New concerts coming to Sculpterra Winery
“Spring Into Summer,” a new concert series hosted by Songwriters At Play, will be held at Sculpterra Winery in Paso Robles every third Saturday of the month, from April to September.
Tickets are available now at Sculpterra, the cost is $15 per person, $10 wine club members in advance or $20 / $15 at the door. Wine will be sold by the bottle or glass; cheese plates and other food will be available for purchase. Central Coast musician Jill Knight will headline the first concert on Saturday, April 18. Special guest Chi McClean will open the show at 6 p.m.
Jill Knight’s, a native of Savannah Georgia, blends Americana, blues and a little R & B. She’s heard regularly on The Krush 92.5. She has had a nomination for the LA music awards “Best Female Vocalist,” was a finalist at the Telluride Troubadour competition, a finalist at the National Academy of Songwriters “Songwriter of the Year” contest, and a finalist in Billboard Magazine’s “Best Unsigned Band” contest. Knight has toured and shared stages with India Arie, Shawn Colvin, David Wilcox, John Prine, The Doobie Brothers, and many others.
Currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, Chi McClean writes acoustic rock songs marked by a Southern style.
McClean says that he is Influenced by Jimi Hendrix, The Black Crowes, Free, The Faces and The Allman Brothers.
