Joy Playground open for play in Atascadero 

–The Joy Playground is open for play in Atascadero.

The $1.2 million dollar playground is designed for everyone, including kids and grownups with disabilities.

Planning Commissioner Mark Dariz joined those celebrating the opening of the Joy Playground Friday. Mark explored the playground in his wheelchair when it opened to the public.

The Joy Playground is located at Colony Park next to the Community Center on Traffic Way. It’s the first all-inclusive playground in San Luis Obispo County.

Mayor Heather Moreno said it was a long time in coming after a lot of effort by the community.
