Highway 41 shoulder work between Atascadero and Morro Bay begins today
Travelers may experience delays of up to 15 minutes during shoulder work
– Travelers will encounter daytime one-way reversing traffic control on Highway 41 between Atascadero and Morro Bay beginning Monday, Sept. 21, according to a release by Caltrans.
Traffic control will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Highway 41 from Los Altos Road in Atascadero to Bear Ridge Road in Morro Bay. A flagger and pilot car will direct traffic through the work area.
Crews will perform shoulder backing work to create a smooth, level surface along the shoulder, allowing drivers to safely steer back onto the highway.
Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of areas under traffic control. Travelers may experience delays of up to 15 minutes.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.
