Restaurant based in Templeton for 15 years
– After 15 years in Templeton, Griff’s Bistro and Pizzeria will close this week. The locally owned Italian restaurant was located on South Main Street.
Owner Jeff Davis said he made the decision to close due to lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which included fewer regular customers and higher prices, according to the San Luis Obispo Tribune. Davis was a manager at the restaurant and then owned it for the past 13 years.

Griff’s Bistro and Pizzeria had a four-star rating on Yelp, with local customers enjoying the daily specials, friendly staff, and classic Italian food.
According to its website, Griff’s Bistro and Pizzeria’s slogan was “Italian food for all.” The menu included pizzas, including those with cracker crusts, calzones, garlic bread, pasta, paninis, and salads.
