Garden Party kicks off summer concert series June 20
Free outdoor concerts continue through August
– The City of Atascadero will begin its 2026 “Saturday in the Park” Summer Concert Series with a performance by Garden Party at 6:30 p.m. June 20 at the Atascadero Lake Park Bandstand.
Garden Party is led by Danny Grasseschi and includes Mark Paisley on keyboards, Rob Espinosa on guitar and vocals, Russ Kuster on bass and vocals, and Steve Hilstein on drums.
According to the city, the five musicians have performed together for more than 12 years as part of the “Summer Nights” series in Cambria. The band takes its name from the Rick Nelson song “Garden Party” and performs cover songs from the 1960s and 1970s folk rock era.
Food will be available for purchase during the concert. Huatulco Tacos and Paradise Shaved Ice are scheduled to attend the June 20 event.
The summer concert series schedule includes:
- June 20: Garden Party, classic soft rock
- June 27: The Rockin’ Bs Band, rock, country, and more
- July 11: Ghost Monster, rock music from multiple eras
- July 25: PUSH, rock-infused dance music from the 1970s through today
- Aug. 1: Josh Rosenblum Band, pop, rock, and blues
- Aug. 8: Lady and The Tramps, rock, rhythm and blues, soul, and blues
- Aug. 15: The Electric Lavender Train, classic rock and roll covers
- Aug. 29: The Cinders Blues Band, blues
All concerts will take place outdoors at the Atascadero Lake Park Bandstand and are free to attend. The city recommends attendees bring low-back chairs.
