Cuesta College to host senior wellness fair in Paso Robles

Admission is free and open to the public
– Cuesta College will host a Senior Wellness Fair on Tuesday, May 12, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Paso Robles Senior Center.
The free event will be hosted by the college’s Licensed Vocational Nursing students and will provide health screenings, wellness resources, and healthy living information for seniors in North County.
According to the college, attendees will have access to blood pressure screenings, pulse checks, vision acuity screenings, memory testing, and evaluations of balance and flexibility. Community resources and information about healthy living practices will also be available during the event.
“We’re proud to mark five years of hosting this wellness fair for our community,” said Nancy Wages, assistant director of the Licensed Vocational Nursing Program. “What started as a small event on campus has grown into a tradition our Licensed Vocational Nursing students look forward to, and we’re excited to keep building on it.”
The Paso Robles Senior Center is located at 270 Scott St. Admission is free and open to the public.
Cuesta College’s Nursing and Allied Health Program was established in 1967 and offers degree and certificate programs in registered nursing, licensed vocational nursing, certified nurse assistant, medical assisting, phlebotomy, psychiatric technician, emergency medical services, and paramedic training.
The college recently launched an accelerated track for its registered nursing program intended to provide a faster path into nursing education and the workforce.
