Come Get Your Cookies – Maple Bacon Tabasco

—Templeton residents are in for a treat with Come Get Your Cookies, a business dedicated to serving delectable desserts with unique flavors and quality creations to the community. Just a few of their cookies for sale are their trademark maple bacon tabasco with real bacon bits, strawberry basil, dream-sicle, and more. For the holiday season, Come Get Your Cookies offers up a festive taste with the peppermint mocha cookie. The store serves coffee and a multitude of other treats, in addition to their renowned cookies.

“[We] just want to build a nice customer base with local people… with local coffee and exciting flavors,” said owner and baker Scott Beer, “We have gourmet, unique flavors”.

Beer was invited to the Food Network Cookie Bake-Off in fall 2016, but declined because Beer bakes the cookies, but does not decorate them. Customers can even watch Beer bake cookies in the store while enjoying his creations. Come Get Your Cookies has been featured on local television stations with their unique cookies.

The company’s cookies are not available in grocery stores yet, but previously offered samples of their cookies at California Fresh Market.

Come Get Your Cookies, which was previously in Grover Beach before moving to their Templeton location, features local coffee from Dark Nectar Roasters, as well as desserts, such as cinnamon rolls, brownies, toffee, and habanero butterfingers. For those who want to enjoy a savory item, there are also breakfast burritos and artisan bread available in the store.

Come Get Your Cookies is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m, at 420 South Main in Templeton.
