City of Atascadero opens registration for Hot El Camino Cruise Nite

Annual cruise will follow a new route along El Camino Real
– The City of Atascadero has opened registration for the 33rd Annual Hot El Camino Cruise Nite, scheduled for Aug. 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The event will take place along a new route on El Camino Real in Atascadero and serves as the kickoff to the city’s Cruisin’ Weekend activities.
According to the city, thousands of spectators attend the annual cruise to watch vehicles travel up and down El Camino Real. The event features a variety of vehicles, including classic cars and hot rods from throughout the county and surrounding areas.
Registration is limited to 200 cruise passes.

Pre-registration is available at the Colony Park Community Center, 5599 Traffic Way. Mail-in registrations will be accepted through Aug. 1. Walk-in registrations will be accepted through Aug. 21 at 4 p.m., or until registration reaches capacity. Cruise passes will not be sold on the night of the event.
The cruise is a closed, controlled event on El Camino Real between Morro Road and San Jacinto Road in Atascadero.
Cruisin’ Weekend continues Aug. 22 with the Mid-State Cruizers Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Atascadero Lake Park and downtown Atascadero. The 10th Annual Dancing in the Streets event will follow from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
