October 26 gathering welcomes entrepreneurs, remote workers, job seekers and professionals from across the Central Coast

– The Central Coast Tech Networking Mixer will return to the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce on Monday, Oct. 26, at 5:30 p.m., bringing together entrepreneurs, remote workers, job seekers and professionals from across San Luis Obispo County for an evening of conversation and community.

Hosted by Albert’s List, the event marks the first gathering since June, following a summer break. Since launching in fall 2024, the monthly networking series has brought together hundreds of professionals interested in exchanging ideas, exploring career opportunities and building relationships beyond their usual professional circles.

While technology remains a common interest, organizers say the gatherings have evolved into something broader: a place for people from different industries and backgrounds to connect over shared interests, professional challenges and everyday life on the Central Coast.

“You don’t need to work in tech to come to a tech mixer,” said Albert Qian, founder of Albert’s List. “Some people are building businesses, others are navigating career changes, and some just want to meet people outside their usual professional circles. What matters is being curious, having good conversations and building relationships.”

Previous gatherings have attracted software engineers, cybersecurity professionals, marketers, recruiters, entrepreneurs, remote Fortune 500 employees, and small business owners. One regular attendee has even made the drive from Monterey to participate, while others have continued attending through job searches and career transitions.

Organizers say the mixer provides an opportunity to exchange perspectives on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, alongside entrepreneurship, hiring trends, local business challenges and the future of work. Attendees do not need technical expertise or a particular viewpoint on technology to participate.

The October event also offers returning attendees a chance to reconnect after several months apart and newcomers a chance to discover a different kind of professional networking experience.

“There’s something valuable about getting people together who might never cross paths otherwise,” Qian added. “You might come looking for a job lead or a business connection, but sometimes the most valuable thing you leave with is a new friendship or a different perspective.”

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards or LinkedIn QR codes to exchange contact information. Earlier mixers were covered in this story and this one.
