Community invited to energy reception at Atascadero City Hall

– The County of San Luis Obispo and the City of Atascadero have officially joined Central Coast Community Energy, expanding local control and choice in energy service. A community reception is scheduled for Feb. 18 at Atascadero City Hall from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to discuss the transition and its impact on residents, businesses, and community investment across the region.

Local leaders will speak at the event, and members of the press are encouraged to attend. Additional details, including the speaker lineup, will be announced later.

Central Coast Community Energy is a public agency that sources competitively priced electricity from clean and renewable energy resources. The agency is governed by local officials representing the communities it serves. Revenue generated by the agency supports the transition to carbon-free power and is invested locally through energy programs designed to lower greenhouse gas emissions.

The agency provides service to more than 1.2 million people throughout the Central Coast, including residential, commercial, and agricultural customers in Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz counties. More information is available at 3CEnergy.org.
