Bianchi Winery launches small production wine program

This month, Paso Robles’ Bianchi Winery launched a small production wine program available to wine club members. The family-owned and operated winery, located in Paso Robles, will be releasing limited production bottlings including gewürztraminer, primitivo, and a grenache-syrah- mourvèdre blend, beginning with the “Syranot,” Grenache Rosé, and a limited cabernet called “Joe’s Rows.”

The 2012 Bianchi “Syranot,” is a blend of Paso Robles syrah and Santa Barbara pinot noir. The result is a balanced wine with Pinot’s leading fruit and Syrah’s full body along with a hint of Petit Sirah for structure.

The 2014 Bianchi Rosé follows the more traditional, dry style found in Provence. Grenache is blended with a touch of Pinot Grigio to produce a pink wine with notes of “strawberry jam, deep citrus and a hint of vanilla, perfect for a beachside sunset while nibbling on cheese, nuts and crackers,” said representative Katherine Guzman.

The 2012 Bianchi “Joe’s Rows” is a limited production cabernet sauvignon produced from a special lot on an experimental vineyard where the vines are treated to extreme viticulture. Aged in French oak, “flavors of berry and earth coat the palate with a rich and supple mouth feel,” said Guzman. Bianchi wines are available for purchase at www.bianchiwine.com.
