– The City of Atascadero will host Movies in the Park on Aug. 29, featuring a screening of “Footloose.”
Family activities and games will begin at 7 p.m. at Colony Park Softball Field No. 2, located at 5599 Traffic Way next to the Colony Park Community Center in Atascadero. The movie will begin about 15 minutes after sunset.
“Footloose,” rated PG, follows Ren McCormack, who moves from Chicago to a small Midwestern town. He discovers that the town has made dancing and rock music illegal, and he struggles to fit in while working to change the rules.
The event will include food available for purchase. Attendees can bring a blanket and a low-back chair.
Movies in the Park is free to the community.
