Atascadero hosting fall first Fridays with Carbon City Lights Oct. 4
Free concerts held in The Plaza on El Camino
– The City of Atascadero will host the Fall First Fridays entertainment series on Oct. 4 at The Plaza on El Camino, featuring the indie alternative rock band Carbon City Lights. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and will include live music, as well as opportunities to explore local restaurants, entertainment options, and shops in the downtown area.
Carbon City Lights, based in San Luis Obispo, is known for its energetic performances and dynamic sound, which blends alt-rock with unique elements like cello. The band’s lead singer, Michael Venia, gained recognition as a contestant on Season 21 of NBC’s The Voice. More information about the band can be found at carboncitylights.com.
Concertgoers can enjoy food from Mary’s Cuisine food truck during the event. First Friday events are free to attend and encourage visitors to explore the downtown area.
Upcoming First Friday events include:
- Nov. 1: A “Dia de Los Muertos” celebration featuring Big Wheel Cobra and a strolling mariachi band, along with food trucks and the A-Town Art Hop.
- Dec. 6: “Light Up the Downtown” with the new lighting of Sunken Gardens, titled “Garden Lights & Winter Nights,” alongside a Holiday Sip & Shop.
