Atascadero holiday lighting contest winners announced 

–On Friday evening, Dec. 4, the winners of the City of Atascadero’s lighting contests were announced at the “Light up the Downtown” holiday celebration. Following are the winners of this year’s lighting contest:

Trail of Lights Holiday Lighting Contest Winners:

• Best Use of Theme: 1st Place: 3351 Via Del Sueno; 2nd Place: 2720 Ferrocarril Road
• Most Creative Light Display: 1st Place: 3950 San Anselmo Road; 2nd Place: 9955 Calle Refugio

Best Overall Light Display:

• 5690 Traffic Way

The new “Trail of Lights” holiday lighting trail map provides a guide to enjoy the best holiday lights in town from Dec. 4 through the 25. The new “Trail of Lights” provides an opportunity for residents and businesses to show off their homes and storefronts, and for families to enjoy a safe and fun activity to drive through town and check out all the wonderful outdoor lights this season!

In addition, the Downtown Business Improvement District had its first Holiday Lighting contest.

Downtown Business Lighting Contest Winners:

• 1st: Morjesi’s Salon
• 2nd: Anna & Co.
• 3rd: The Raconteur Room
• Honorable Mention: The Artery
