Artificial intelligence workshop planned at StoryLabs in Atascadero
Participants will build an artificial intelligence agent during the hands-on workshop
– Artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday work, but many people are still unsure how to use it beyond asking ChatGPT questions. To help address that, SOFTEC will host “Beyond the Chatbot: AI Agents, Practical Workflows, and Zero Hype” on Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at StoryLabs in Atascadero.
The beginner-friendly workshop will be led by SOFTEC board member and Albert’s List founder Albert Qian. The session will focus on practical applications of artificial intelligence. Participants will build their own artificial intelligence agent while learning how the technology can automate research, organize information, draft content, identify grant opportunities, and complete other repetitive tasks.
The workshop is intended for small business owners, nonprofit leaders, marketers, real estate professionals, consultants, and others interested in using artificial intelligence to save time.
“Most people have already experimented with ChatGPT,” Qian said. “This workshop is about taking the next step. Instead of just asking AI questions, you’ll learn how to build something that can actually help with your work.”
No programming experience is required. Attendance is limited to 10 participants to allow for individualized instruction.
Registration costs $149. A portion of the proceeds will benefit SOFTEC, a nonprofit organization that supports technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation throughout San Luis Obispo County.
