–The 21st annual Atascadero Lakeside Wine Festival will take place this Saturday, June 25 from 4-8 p.m. at Atascadero Lake Park, 9100 Morro Road in Atascadero. Along with award-winning wines, culinary offerings, local artists and live music, tickets include free admission to the Charles Paddock Zoo.
The zoo will open for V.I.P admission from 4 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Enjoy strolling through the zoo sipping wine and enjoy visiting the animals. Zoo educators will be strolling along with you as they introduce some of our smaller animals up close who like visiting with our guests. We will also offer a variety of wine at the zoo to enjoy while you experience our animals in a beautiful park-like setting. A popular attraction this year continues to be the flamingo exhibit where you can view our two latest additions to the family, baby flamingos.
Donations to the zoo are used to directly enhance the quality of life of the animals, develop & maintain educational programs for local youth & community along with assisting with the on-going maintenance and improvements to zoo grounds.
Over 200 animals call the Charles Paddock Zoo home, including red pandas, monkeys, meerkats, parrots, a Malayan Tiger, a variety of reptiles and more.
