–Woods Humane Society is hosting their annual “Holiday Open House” on Saturday, Dec. 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at the shelter, located at 875 Oklahoma Ave in
San Luis Obispo.
The event will include holiday pet portraits with Santa, half-priced adoption fees, shelter tours, Woods gear for sale, Woods University dog training workshops and family-friendly activities. Guests will also get the chance to play with real snow.
“This is a time for us to thank the local community for all their support while also celebrating the festive spirit of the holidays,” said Woods’ Director of Marketing and Community Programs Steve Kragenbrink. “Of course, we can’t ever forget about the animals. They love the attention and we are confident that many will go to happy homes on this day.”
The open house is also Woods’ largest annual in-kind donation drive. Guests are invited to bring donations to the shelter on Saturday and enjoy complimentary hot cocoa, cider, or coffee, and share holiday cheer with the homeless dogs and cats of Woods Humane Society.
