Winter Wonderland returns Dec. 11
–The City of Atascadero will be brining the annual Winter Wonderland event back to downtown Atascadero on Friday, Dec. 11 from 5-9 p.m.
Atascadero’s Sunken Gardens and the entire downtown area will be transformed into a, “winter paradise for all ages.” There will be a massive snow slide built by the local Kiwanis Club, two snow play areas for all ages to enjoy, a rock climbing wall, bounce houses, the Elk’s Little Train and a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Winter Wonderland will include over 50 food and craft vendors, musical entertainment by the Atascadero High School Show & Concert Choirs, dance entertainment by the Fine Arts Academy, Hart of Dance, Colony Park Community Center Clogging Group, Singing Hands Choir, performances by the Atascadero High School Drama Department, demonstrations by the 805 Boardshop Skate team, additional musical entertainment by “Nothing Ever Stays,” and more.
It has even been rumored that Santa & Mrs. Claus might make their first appearance at the massive snow slide area, and Santa may even be the first to take a sled ride down the slide to kick off the event. Santa & Mrs. Claus will also be at the front of Historic City Hall until 9 p.m.
