Winter donation drive this Saturday for ECHO Atascadero 

There will be variety of different activities to enjoy at the event

–On Saturday, Dec. 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a winter donation drive event at the old K-Mart shopping center with all donations going towards El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) Atascadero.

There will be games, Christmas photo props, dance performances by the Motions Academy of Dance and Athletics (MADA), and more at the event.

Participating organizations include Pure Pediatric Dentistry, MADA, Dan’s the Grub Shack, Fusion Fiit, Goodwill Central Coast, Cigarettes 4 Less and La Michoacana.

ECHO is a long-running non-profit, which operates three facilities in the county that each provide meals and a safe and secure overnight shelter for families and individuals facing hunger and homelessness. The organization also provides its residents individual case management services to assist them in securing a job, as well as finding permanent and sustainable housing. Residents are also taught a variety of life skills like financial literacy, health care management and parenting while staying at a facility with the organization.

Organizers recommend donations of socks and new or slightly used blankets and jackets.
