Fast friends since they first met at the ripe young age of 15, Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance of Jamestown Revival have been writing stories and songs together for most of their lives. Moving from Texas to California, and then back again, they draw on their travels and life experiences for their inspiration.

In this fifth year, Whale Rock Music and Arts Festival (formerly known as Beaverstock) will again deliver two days of wine-loving, peace, and jammin’ in the vines. In addition to the headliners, the always eclectic lineup will include Turkauz (powerfunk), The Motet (funk), The Suffers (gulf coast soul), Las Cafeteras (cumbia/ rock/punk/hip-hop/beat), Hot Buttered Rum (west coast bluegrass), Coffis Brothers & The Mountain Men (folk/blues/R&B/rock), Bear Market Riot (power-folk americana), Shawn Clark Family Band (country), Proxima Parada (soul/rhythm), Dan Curcio (eclectic folk rock), Samba Loca (afro-brazilian), The Cimo Brothers (jazz/tango/rock/folk), The Turkey Buzzards (americana folk outlaw country), Hillary + Kate (folk/bluegrass/gospel), and Nicole Stomsoe (eclectic/old soul/jazz/ blues).

Tickets are now on sale at the fest’s new website. Two-day passes are $70/pp through April 30, $80/pp through August 30, and $90 thereafter. One-day passes are available after May 1.

Whale Rock Music and Arts Festival features back-to-back performances on two stages, a gallery of local artists, all-ages yoga, kid crafts and games, Castoro wines, craft beers, hard ciders, food trucks and more. The Udsen family has gifted event proceeds to local, education-based non-profit organizations each year. Total donated over the first four years exceeds $50,000. The 2017 benefactor is again the Templeton Instrumental Music Boosters Association (TIMBA), a parent volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the experiences of Templeton High School musicians.

The 2017 Whale Rock Music and Arts Festival will be held September 16-17, amidst Castoro Cellars’ Whale Rock Vineyard in Templeton, California. For more information call (805) 238-0725, or go to whalerockmusicfestival.com.
