Whale Rock Music & Arts Festival announces 2025 lineup

Lineup includes Young the Giant, Margo Price, and more

– The Udsen family of Castoro Cellars has announced the lineup for the 12th annual Whale Rock Music & Arts Festival, set to take place Sept. 13-14 at Whale Rock Vineyard in Templeton.

Young the Giant, Shane Smith & the Saints, and Margo Price will headline the festival. Young the Giant is known for multiple Gold-certified singles. Shane Smith & the Saints, a rising band in the Red Dirt country scene, recently sold out a show at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo. Margo Price, a country singer-songwriter, has released three solo albums and frequently collaborates with artists such as Willie Nelson.

The festival will also feature performances from Couch (soul, funk), The Philharmonik (hip-hop, soul), The Nth Power performing “Rebel Music, A Tribute to Bob Marley” (reggae), Cristina Vane (Americana), Jungle Fire (Afrobeat), Jazz Mafia (New Orleans jazz), IMVA (soul), Broken Compass Bluegrass (bluegrass), Vince Cimo’s Hot Fire (soul, funk, electronic), Alex Lucero Band (Americana), Antonio Barret (soul), Samba Loca (Afro-Brazilian), The Funk Junket (funk), and Hot 45 (soul pop). Daily schedules will be announced at a later date.

Weekend passes are now on sale at whalerockmusicfestival.com for $150. Single-day passes will be released soon for $95. Children ages 4 and under can attend for free, while tickets for children ages 5-12 are available for $10. Discounted teen tickets are also available.

Whale Rock Music & Arts Festival features live performances on two stages, a gallery of local artists, all-ages yoga, kid-friendly activities, Castoro Cellars wines, Bethel Rd. spirits, craft beers, hard ciders, and food trucks.

Since its inception, the festival has donated more than $200,000 to local education-based nonprofit organizations. Proceeds from the 2025 event will benefit the Templeton Instrumental Music Boosters Association, a parent volunteer organization supporting Templeton High School musicians.
