Volunteers needed for Earth Day at Montana de Oro State Park
California State Parks is seeking volunteers to help-out with the Bluff Trail Habitat Enhancement and Protection project at Montana de Oro State Park, this coming Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This will be the 19th year that the Earth Day Restoration and Clean-up event has been hosted by the California State Parks Foundation and sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
All volunteers are welcome. Volunteers should come prepared to work outside with appropriate sun and clothing protection as well as refillable water bottles. All tools and equipment needed for the work will be supplied. Morning coffee and snacks will be provided by Pete’s Coffee and Fruit Guys and afternoon sandwiches by Subway.
“We encourage you to join us on this important occasion, to do your part to restore and care for the places where we live, work and play for this and future generations,” State Parks said in a statement. “We look forward to enhancing the beauty and visitor experience of Montana de Oro State Park and to all the helping hands on April 22nd.”
To volunteer register in-person on the Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Spooner’s Ranch House at Montana de Oro.
