Vina Robles nominated for ‘Best Small Outdoor Venue’
–The Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, under exclusive contract to Nederlander Concerts, has been nominated for the first time as North America’s “Best Small Outdoor Venue of the Year” by Pollstar Magazine.

In 2016, Nederlander produced 30 ticketed events at the Vina Robles Amphitheatre, exceeding the previous three seasons since the venue opened. Marquee artists playing Vina Robles Amphitheatre included Dolly Parton, Amy Schumer, Kevin Hart, Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt, among others. The season also featured milestone events such as the Go-Go’s Farewell Tour, The Monkees 50th Anniversary, plus multiple sell-out performances including country superstar Lee Brice and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Chicago. From reggae to rock, comedy to country and Latin to hip hop, the Vina Robles Amphitheatre hosted a wide variety of entertainment. Additional season highlights included Latin music superstar Pepe Aguilar, Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton, iconic performer and musical chameleon Cyndi Lauper and 7-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist Ziggy Marley, among others.
Vina Robles Amphitheatre celebrates a record breaking 2016 season with over $3.5 million in gross ticket sales, 60,000+ attendees and 30 live events. Ticket sales increased by 33% from 2015 and the venue hosted 76 hours of live entertainment.
Each year Pollstar invites nominations from a cross section of international music business professionals for the Pollstar Awards. The awards honor artists, management, talent buyers, venues, support services and more for their professionalism, achievements and abilities. Winners are determined by votes from the international readership of Pollstar. Along with Vina Robles Amphitheatre this year’s nominees for the Best Small Outdoor Venue award include Ascend Amphitheater (Nashville, TN), Bank of NH Pavilion at Meadowbrook (Gilford, NH), Ford Amphitheatre at Coney Island Boardwalk (Brooklyn, NY), Greek Theatre (Los Angeles, CA), Mountain Winery (Saratoga, CA), Prospect Park Bandshell (Brooklyn, NY) and the Santa Barbara Bowl, (Santa Barbara, CA). Winners will be announced during the 28th Annual Pollstar Awards on Feb. 2, 2017 in Los Angeles.
