Event raises over $2,000
– The Atascadero Rotary Club organized a fundraiser on Feb. 14 to benefit the Atascadero High School (AHS) Interact Club, raising over $2,100.
During the Valentine’s Day event, students from the Interact Club presented baked goods at the Rotary luncheon, including brownies, cookies, hand pies, cakes, and more.
The fundraising event featured an auction, with Rotary members bidding on the creations to support the AHS Interact Club and its initiatives.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards enhancing AHS Greyhounds Campus events, including Red Ribbon Week, Homecoming Week, Winter Wonderland, and Winter Connection Week.
The AHS Interact Club aims to foster unity and camaraderie through community participation. The funds will also cover other club expenses for sustainable projects.
The Atascadero Rotary, known for community service, expressed pride in supporting the Interact Club’s efforts, strengthening the bond between the Rotary and AHS. As the AHS Interact Club adheres to the Rotary’s motto of “service above self,” funds raised during the Valentine’s Day event are expected to impact the Greyhounds Campus positively.
