Two suspected LA-area thieves arrested using fake savings bonds
–Last Friday, Paso Robles Police patrol officers arrested two suspected LA-Area thieves who traveled up the Central Coast, attempting to cash fake US savings bonds at multiple SLO County banks.
The duo was collared in Paso Robles as they tried to leave the bank parking lot. According to one of the suspects, she received the bonds from her grandmother and needed the money to continue on their vacation. Ultimately, officers recovered 24 suspected fake bonds, meth, heroin, mushrooms, and marijuana.
Arrested were Sherrie Argo, a resident of El Segundo and Peter Voigt Jr, a resident of Hawthorne. They were both booked into the SLO County Jail.
