Two North County men arrested for residential burglary
Police are investigating the suspects’ potential involvement in other recent burglaries
–Two young Paso Robles men have been arrested this week for residential burglary and other charges, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.
On Tuesday, police investigated two residential burglaries that took place in the 100 block of Rosemary Drive and the 100 block of San Augustine Drive. These crimes occurred between the hours of 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Patrol officers investigated both of those burglaries and identified 19-year-old Romi Macias and 23-year-old Elijah Cooper as possible suspects. Both Macias and Cooper are residents of Paso Robles. Officers and detectives searched for these suspects throughout the day and ultimately located Macias as a passenger in a vehicle in the area of the 100 block of Niblick Road at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Dec. 1. Macias was arrested without incident.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, at approximately 2:10 p.m., officers located Cooper in the 800 block of Pine Street and arrested him without incident.
Macias was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for burglary (felony), possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor), and a probation violation.
Cooper was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for being under the influence of a controlled substance (misdemeanor) and being in possession of narcotics paraphernalia (misdemeanor), as well as an outstanding felony arrest warrant for narcotics violations from San Bernardino County.
