Two locals face embezzlement charges, trial begins June 8
Local Paso Robles lenders Rodney Jarmin and Tammy Jordan have been charged with felony counts of embezzlement, according to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney.
The suspects, who owned Real Property Lenders in Paso Robles, allegedly were not forthcoming about details regarding the sales of securities, according to reports.
The two have been criminally charged with defrauding multiple clients for sums that add up to a over $2 million, collectively.
The trial will begin jury trial on Monday, June 8, in Judge Umhofer’s Department 9 of the Superior Court.
The case will begin with jury selection and pre-trial motions at 1:30 p.m. on that date. Opening statements and witness testimony is anticipated to begin the afternoon of June 17.
The trial is expected to last into July, and possibly into August, according to the DA.
