Templeton school board approves campus exchange plan

– During a Special Board meeting held on March 24, the Templeton Unified School District (TUSD) Board of Trustees voted to approve a strategic campus exchange between Templeton Middle School and Vineyard Elementary School, according to a press release from the district.
This decision marks a pivotal step in the district’s long-term facilities master planning. By swapping the two locations, the district can more effectively utilize Measure D Bond funds to initiate comprehensive building replacements and modernizations tailored to the specific needs of each student population.
This milestone allows the district to move forward with critical infrastructure upgrades.
The approval officially directs district administration to begin the multi-phase transition and planning process. These upgrades will focus on replacing aging structures and enhancing campus safety and accessibility at both the new Templeton Middle School and Vineyard Elementary School sites.
Further updates regarding the construction timeline and transition logistics will be shared with families as they become available.
