Templeton Performing Arts Center refreshes look with rebrand

Rebrand is intended to expand its reach as a host for both community performances and touring productions

Motif Brands has led a full-scale rebrand of the Templeton Performing Arts Center, an effort aimed at supporting the performing arts community in northern San Luis Obispo County and increasing the venue’s regional visibility.

Located off U.S. Highway 101, the Templeton Performing Arts Center features professional-grade lighting, acoustics and stage design. The venue has long served local artists, schools, and audiences. The rebrand is intended to expand its reach as a host for both community performances and touring productions.

“The Templeton Performing Arts Center is an exceptional performance space committed to bringing the performing arts to North San Luis Obispo County,” said Supervisor John Peschong, District 1, County of San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors. “Its rebrand opens new opportunities to further inspire the community and fulfill hopes and dreams of Templeton residents.”

Motif Brands collaborated with the venue’s team to develop a new identity, messaging, and visual presentation. The rebrand aims to reflect both the professionalism and accessibility of the space, with the goal of attracting a wider range of performances including music, spoken word, and theatrical productions.

“Over the past two years, the TPAC has stepped into an exciting new era. We have built a dedicated in-house team, upgraded essential technology, and expanded our programming to serve both local organizations and professional touring artists. These efforts honor our founding goal of being a joint-use facility, similar to the Clark Center, that supports the Templeton Unified School District while engaging the broader community with live events for all ages.

As we enter this next chapter, one piece remained: a brand that truly captures our growth and vision. Motif Brands recognized our momentum and worked closely with us to understand our goals. Through thoughtful collaboration, they delivered a brand that reflects both who we are today and who we aim to become.

We are deeply grateful to Motif for their expertise and partnership. I am confident our community will embrace this refreshed identity and continue to support the TPAC as a treasured home for the performing arts,” said Ryan Flores, managing director of the Templeton Performing Arts Center.

The rebrand includes a new logo, updated website and revised positioning strategy. The changes are designed to reflect the center’s role as both a local venue and a destination for regional events.

As the area grows, the Templeton Performing Arts Center’s updated identity positions it to serve a wider audience of artists and attendees in the years to come.
