Templeton Performing Arts Center kicks off summer season
Season kicks off with Johnny Cash tribute concert
– James Garner’s Tribute to Johnny Cash on July 14 marked the start of the Templeton Performing Arts Center’s summer lineup. Garner and his band performed for a full house of nearly 330 audience members, celebrating the music of Johnny Cash.
“Our summer lineup could not have had a better start,” said Manager of the Templeton Performing Arts Center Ryan Flores, “For many attendees, it was their first time experiencing the incredible venue we are so lucky to have in our backyard. With five more unique performances already scheduled for summer and more on the way for the remainder of the year, the walls of our local theatre will ring with the sound of cheering audiences. 2024 marks a big milestone for the Templeton Performing Arts Center.”
Upcoming summer shows include:
- Festival Mozaic’s Chamber Concert 2 on July 23 at 4 p.m., featuring classical masterpieces such as Beethoven’s Kakadu Variations, Farrenc’s Bass Quintet, Seeger’s Violin Sonata, and Mendelssohn’s Sextet.
- Tom’s Elton Tribute on July 31 at 7 p.m., presenting Tom Cridland’s tribute to Elton John.
- Wonderland on Aug. 2-4, a youth adaptation of a timeless tale by local theatre professionals and Almond Acres Charter Academy.
- Dream Like Taylor on Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m., featuring Cassie B’s musical journey through Taylor Swift’s iconic eras.
- ZB Savoy’s “Songs of Willie Nelson” on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m., celebrating Willie Nelson’s career.
