Templeton Community Services District election registration deadline is today
–The deadline for updating a voter’s address or name and for new residents of the Templeton Community Services District to register to vote in the Aug. 27 Special Election is Monday, Aug. 12.
This election involves a tax measure involving the district’s local fire protection and emergency response. This election is being conducted entirely by mail, so any voters residing within the district who have not received their ballots are urged to contact the Clerk-Recorder office.
Paper registration forms are available throughout San Luis Obispo County at the following locations: Post Offices, City Halls, libraries, banks, notary offices, utility companies, DMV and the County Clerk-Recorder’s office in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero. For added convenience, voters can instead use the California online voter registration system available at www.slovote.com to register.
To be eligible to register to vote a person must be:
1. A United States Citizen
2. 18 years old on or before Election Day
3. Not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction
Voters will be able to return their voted ballots in their issued postage paid envelopes via the USPS mail. In addition, to assist the county in saving postage costs, voters can return directly to the County Clerk-Recorder offices located in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero.
