Tackitt Family Vineyards wins best of class for petite sirah
Tackitt Family Vineyards of San Miguel was recently awarded best of class for their 2012 petite sirah at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest competition of American wines.

About the petite sirah
The vines were planted in 2009 on their estate and have quickly grown into one of their most-popular wines, quickly selling out in its debut. The wine is 100-percent estate-grown and 100-percent petite sirah varietal. The list price of the 2012 Petite Sirah is $32.
About Tackitt Family Vineyards
Leon Tackitt, owner and winemaker for Tackitt Family Vineyards, is a retired Navy Veteran who also bottles a special line of wines for wounded warriors. They produce just 1500 cases of wine each year, and sell it almost all of it direct to consumers, almost exclusively to wine club members.
