T-ball registration ends Friday
–The City of Atascadero’s Recreation Division is nearly ready to begin a new season of Spring T-ball for girls and boys, ages 4.5 to 6 years old. Children must be four and a half years old on or before March 16, 2019 to register for the league. The league focuses on teaching the basics of baseball in a low-key and instructional atmosphere with the ultimate goal to have fun.
Spring T-ball games will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Paloma Creek Park. Opening Ceremonies will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Paloma Creek Softball Field #1. Practices will begin the week of March 19 with the league games starting on Tuesday, April 9. The league will run through May 23. Registration ends Feb. 22.
The league is looking for volunteer coaches. If you are interested in helping with the league, contact Larisse Lopez at llopez@atascadero.org or call (805) 470-3362. A coach’s meeting will be held on March 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Colony Park Community Center, 5599 Traffic Way. We are also looking for team sponsors. Sponsor information can be found on the city’s website or at the front desk at Colony Park Community Center.
The cost to participate in the league is $83 per child, which includes a league t-shirt, hat, and a participation award. There will be an additional $10 late fee for any registrations received after Feb. 22. Registration is now open and will be accepted at the Colony Park Community Center at 5599 Traffic Way.
