Suspect fraudulently obtains $20,000 after identity theft 


–On June 21, a San Luis Obispo resident was the victim of a stolen wallet. The victim had several financial account numbers, credit / debit cards, personal information and identification cards in the wallet. On June 22, an unknown elderly suspect used the victim’s personal and financial information to make two separate $10,000 dollar withdrawals from two different banks in San Luis Obispo. The unknown suspect successfully impersonated the victim and fraudulently obtained a total of $20,000 dollars.

The suspect is a white adult, possibly female, around 5’03’’, 140 lbs, and approximately 65 years of age.
