Special feature: Head ‘Off to the Races’ at the 2025 California Mid-State Fair

Experience endless family fun in Paso Robles this summer
– Get ready, get set, and go to the 2025 California Mid-State Fair from July 16 through July 27 at the Paso Robles Event Center. This year’s theme, “Off to the Races,” brings the thrill of high-speed rides, friendly competition, and daring adventures.
“This year’s theme represents competition, tradition, and festive experiences,” said CEO Colleen Bojorquez. “We are looking forward to seeing the creative arts and crafts our community enters this year, using traditional or modern Kentucky Derby-inspired designs—think red roses, checkered flags, and stylish hats.”
With six entertainment stages, there are many talented musicians ready to get visitors dancing and singing along. Five stages, such as the Frontier Stage and La Cantina, are free. The famous Michelob Ultra Concert Series, held at the Chumash Grandstand Arena, will host an incredible ten nights of internationally renowned artists, soon to be announced. Don’t miss out on two exhilarating events also held at the Chumash Grandstand Arena: the country rodeo finals on July 26 and Monster Truck Madness on July 27.
Every day at the California Mid-State Fair is full of family-friendly activities, such as the pedal tractor race, train rides, and watermelon eating contests. For some late-night fun, the KJUG barn dance and Fiesta de Baile are the perfect ways to end a fair adventure.
Make sure to enjoy the multiple free demonstrations located throughout the fairgrounds. Pacific Animal Productions showcases exotic animals, Megan the Bubbleologist wows with her magical performance, and local artisans will help create works of treasure and more. Farming demonstrations, a tractor parade, and a salsa-making contest are on the schedule.
Step into the magical world of the carnival, where flashing lights and amusing music are all around. The carnival will boast heart-racing rides and tempting carnival games; prizes are sure to please all.
It’s never been easier to support local businesses as twenty vendors are showcased at the Mission Market Place. From delectable farm products to beautiful homeware, the perfect item can be found.
Classic fair food, such as corn dogs and funnel cakes, is available for purchase at stands throughout the fairgrounds. Taste some award-winning local wine and beer or indulge in a cold lemonade during the hot summer days.
Season passes to the “Biggest Little Fair Anywhere” go on sale to the general public in June, and tickets to the Chumash Grandstand Arena entertainment go on sale as each show is announced.
