Sheriff’s Youth Summer Camp now taking registrations
The Sheriff’s Office announced that registration is now open for the Sheriff’s Youth Summer Camps. This year there are three camps for incoming 6th through 8th graders who live in the unincorporated areas of the county.
The camps are free of charge. The camps are part of a violence prevention program taught by trained law enforcement officers.
The summer camps provide fun activities and games while teaching children how to avoid taking part in bullying, violence and gangs.
Registration forms are now available on the Sheriff’s Office website, slosheriff.org. Those forms can be found by going to the Community Programs drop down menu and selecting G.R.E.A.T.
