Shed fire reported in Paso Robles
-On Sunday, Dec. 24, at 12:22 p.m., crews from multiple agencies responded to a reported Residential Structure Fire at 255 Santa Ysabel Avenue in the City of Paso Robles.
The first arriving Battalion Chief arrived in less than two minutes to find the fire to be located to the rear of the main residence at 254 Santa Cruz Avenue. There was an active fire in two 6’x8’ Metal Storage Sheds, extending into the alley between residences. A neighbor was observed using a garden hose to wet down the alley. In less than five minutes from the time of dispatch the first Engine Company arrived and stretched an attack line to the rear of the residence.
Nine firefighters from the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services and Cal Fire/SLO County Fire Department contained the fire in less than 10 minutes from the time of dispatch. Mop-up and overhaul of the area performed to fully extinguish all of the material burned. All units were released at 1:39 p.m.
No firefighters or civilians injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire and total dollar loss is currently being determined by a Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services Fire Investigator.
